Book your taster session or induction now
If you are already an independent climber who knows all the safety stuff (you’ll be asked to demonstrate this on your first visit!) then check out how to become a member or climb as you go.
For most people, the first port of call when trying out climbing will be to come along for a climbing taster session. These are our 1.5 hour introductory sessions, where you’ll be shown the basics of climbing by an instructor, and be able to spend the entire session climbing on the roped walls and boulder centre.
A taster session is perfect for people who have never set foot on a climbing wall before, and are also great for children and groups. You can find out more about climbing taster sessions at Rock and Rapid here.
For those of you who’d like to learn how to belay with a view to becoming an independent climber or a member of Rock and Rapid Adventures, we also offer climbing inductions.
During these sessions, you’ll learn how to use all of the safety equipment, belay and climb safely without an instructor.
Not keen on the ropes? Don’t worry, you can still come along to try out bouldering for the first time. All you have to do is head to the centre and complete a short safety induction with an instructor, and you’re good to go!
